Drama In The Bricks Tonya M Barber Brooke Martin Books
For this to be the author's first novel, it surely was great ! The descriptions given for the characters were great and it made you envision how each of the characters really looked and really acted. The main character Simone was on a fixed income and in order to provide for her children she risked her life selling drugs and partnering up with her "friend" Malik who was just a loose damn cannon. Each of the characters embodied traits that will have you hanging off your seats. This book had me cracking up, and it also had me in tears ! You think You Know A Person Until Shit Hits The Fan & You Learn That They Are Not Who You Really Think They Are.Moral of The Story: Love can always be repaired if you give it a chance. Friendships require trust ! Without trust you don't have a TRUE friendship. & Last Moral: Everybody is Not To Be TRUSTED !!!!
Good Book !

Drama In The Bricks Tonya M Barber Brooke Martin Books Reviews
This was an excellent book from beginning to end. It tells the story of a mother's love and that she will do what she has to do to take care of her kids. Powerful message in this book. Take my advice and one click this today.
Okay, I don't usually like stories about drug dealing because it usually is told in a way that glorifies the lifestyle. This book was gritty but not too graphic.I found this book very entertaining from the first scene to the last. Tonya Barber did a great job infusing a hopeful love story within all the drama.
I just love the story line and the characters but one that Malik was something else. When I read this book it felt like I was back at home in Newark New Jersey, Fairmount Ave, East Orange, Is this going to be the end of the drama in the Bricks, Keep up the good work.
An amazing story of what a mother will do for her children and the consequences it can bring. Simone had no idea what she was getting in to when getting involved with Malik, but it soon becomes very clear, and extremely terrifying. Ms. Barber tells a heart wrenching story that will have you in tears of joy, anger, and heart break. Great story line, and I can't wait to see what happens next! Definitely a MUST read!!
Where do I start..……? !!! I loved this book so much I didn't want it to end, I loved all the characters, especially Simon. I don't want to ruin the book for anyone else so I won't say too much but the story line was great and the author keeps you interested from beginning to end. I would definately recommend this book. Enjoyed the authors work so much I'm going to read all her books. Ms. Tonya please keep the books coming!!!!
This was good, but I took off stars for it not being realistic. There were too many instances where things didn't make sense. Greg is a cop, but had no idea his babies mother was a drug dealer. Simone and Angela best friends, but have no communication for really dumb reasons. Malik is crazy, but allowed to walk around untouched. Just a few of no sense moments. However, it was still entertaining. I would definitely recommend this book.
I thought this was an excellent story. The characters were drawn in a way where you felt like you could visualize them. This told the story about a woman who mant would say took the easy way out and chose to get in the drug game. She just didn't realize that getting in was a lot harder than getting out. I loved how the characters past interwined. It left me wondering what happened in Malik's left that made him become so coldhearted. I also liked how some things that happened were left to the readers interpretation. I didn't kbow if Malik was telling the truth or lying when telling Simone his side of the story of ehat happened with Angela. I also never expected Greg to be the standup man that he was by the way he was described in the beginning. This gave the characters depth...even the ones who were selling the poison out on the street. Overall this was an excellent read!!!
