The Memoirs of 'I' edition by Yolanda De Iuliis Duncan Lockerbie Politics Social Sciences eBooks
I enjoyed this book very much. I appreciate the way Yolanda put herself and her thoughts out for everyone to see. This honest, no-holds-barred memoir is a great read for anyone wanting company on the journey of self-exploration. The diary-style approach is easy to read and easy to relate to one’s daily life. Many books about personal spiritual journeys discuss the trials and struggles of hitting bottom and finding a way back to the top. Not all authors are comfortable sharing the depths of the darkness of their questions and thoughts as they search for the light within. Yolanda shares herself, warts and all, in this lovely book. I highly recommend it.

The Memoirs of 'I' edition by Yolanda De Iuliis Duncan Lockerbie Politics Social Sciences eBooks Reviews
The memoirs of 'I' by De Iuliis is best read slowly and even a section at a time. I got as far as page 118 and decided I needed to digest what I had read. I would recommend it as a daily meditation because the thoughts expressed are so deep. Well done.
The Memoirs of 'I' by Yolanda De Iuliis was received direct from the author in exchange for an honest review. This book, while obviously, if you know my reviews, not what I generally read, was quite an enlightening experience. As I get older, I tend to like to get to know what other people are thinking and "what makes them tick." This book delves into the authors mind in ways I would not have envisioned. As others stated, some things I do not see "eye to eye" with, but that in no way means we cold not be friends, or sit around and drink beer and philosophize on things. If you want to see the world, or know people whom you buy gifts for that need to expand their horizons, this is a book to buy.
4 Stars.
This is a yearly self-reflection of a diary style book, which the author decided to record her deepest thoughts and insights into her life. So that twelve months later she can look back and reflect on how much she changed through the year as a person and the reaction to her own life experiences.
I have to admit this is not what I was expecting from the book and I have never read a book like it. There is a philosophical side to the book and it does make you think and there are some very intriguing thoughts and ideas that really make you think. There is also a sense of sadness and loss about the author. That she is coming to terms with a personal loss in her life.
Some may find the book a little self-indulgent and not agree with the opinions and views of the author, the author does invite the reader to answer questions and to make there own minds up too.
This book is a deep and powerful journey into an unknown mind. It is like travelling through a forest of thoughts. It is a fascinating read and there are some very wise words of wisdom and some will find it a very helpful insight.
Wow, this was absolutely not what I expected from Yolanda. This is a true diary of realizations, that I personally believe help to attain this certain level of “enlightenment.” No materialism, no speaking of past or current lovers, this is no diary about ME, but about the world, about the planet, about the galaxy, about the animals and about the 'human race.'
I believe that not many people are born with this type of mindset, but I for some weird reason I seem to have it as well. Reading Yolanda’s journal entries ran a chill down my spine. Her journal is like an intense curriculum on life. She manages to squeeze a tremendous amount of information, that many need at least 20 years of life to attain. Everyone needs to learn this.
I am so happy that there are others out there who feel this way, and it would be lovely to meet Yolanda in person. I believe that at the present moment we are living in a place that is the tipping point, and Yolanda gets it, and presents her findings beautifully in this masterpiece.
The more we all get it, the more we can move forward as a society, and progress for the betterment of everything and everyone. We can begin to heal ourselves, and everything around us.
JUST READ THIS and you will get it too.
